It was a beautiful day full of sunshine, warmth and love as Jess and Sam said I do to forever at their outdoor wedding on the sweetest farm nestled in Delaware, Ohio, The Farm at Harvest Hills. So many friends and loved ones were there to celebrate these 2 families joining together. The sun was hot overhead, but nothing could wipe the smiles off the bride and groom's happy faces.
One thing that I absolutely LOVE to capture is emotion and connection, and this wedding day was FULL of it. Of course, there is the strong connection between Jess and Sam, but I love just as much the sweet flower girls giggles and twirls. That special hug and dance from Grandpa. The heartfelt toast from your best friend in the whole world (and all of the great FRIENDS references throughout). I want to capture the tears softly falling from you and your dad's face as he discreetly tries to wipe it away. And all of the crazy fun and joy of a packed dance floor (this was seriously the MOST fun reception!).
All of these are the wonderful, perfectly imperfect moments that make up the best day of your life. My specialty is turning them into memories you will always treasure.
Make sure to scroll to the end of this post for the list of vendors that made this day so magical.
Jess wanted a different kind of first look, not one with Sam, but with her dad seeing her in her dress for the first time. These two have a special relationship, you can just see it. And their first look was something special.
The ladies were looking lovely, but these guys sure had the swag!
Finally it was ceremony time, and I think those 2 little flower girls (and the sweetest little man who was ring bearer) may have stolen the show. Sorry Jess, but look at those cute little faces!
Next it was portrait time, but I try to make that fun as well. Let me tell you, it takes talent for a 16 member wedding party plus the bride and groom to walk together in a straight line!
My favorite part of the day is when I get to take the bride and groom aside for some relaxed and romantic portraits. They get to finally breathe a little together and cuddle and play a little while I capture the magic of the newly married couple!
Finally, it's time for their barn reception with all of the first dancing, taco bar bashing, cake smashing, family bonding fun! Seriously, these guys know how to party!
